GlowCore Boiler Saves Big Bucks

The Gowen Apartment House is an old, 3-story, 9-unit building
in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, which used to utilize electricity for both space and water
heating.
Under the old system, the management paid the utility bill for
domestic hot water, which ran $3,600 per year. Individual tenants paid their own
electric space heating costs.
The Paul Boulanger of Champion Plumbing & Heating sold the
Gowen management on converting to a GlowCore GB160 gas boiler interconnected to a GlowCore
40-gallon commercial water heater. This UniCore system heats both space and domestic
hot water for all nine units, plus the common hallway.
Then, management offered its tenants the opportunity to dump
their monthly electric heating bills in return for a $40/month rent increase.
This offer made the tenants very happy. The abundant hot
water made them very happy. And the consistent, even baseboard hot water heat made
them very happy.
But none of this joy was great as that experienced by the Gowen
management. After one full year of heating both space and domestic hot water for the
entire building, the gas bill for the year was $1,750 - 51% less than the previous year's
water only heating bill.
Let's see . . . increasing revenue while decreasing operating
costs . . . hmmm, sounds like a pretty convincing sales message for GlowCore contractors.
