GlowCore Powers Resort's Radiant Floor System
Bailey's Resort Motel consists of 24 individually owned suites
on the beach in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Each suite is warmed with in-floor
radiant heat and includes a 90-gallon whirlpool tub. And each has 1/6 of a GlowCore
GB160 boiler.
Each could have had two through-the-wall, gas fired units, but
Champion Plumbing & Heating's Paul Boulanger sold Baileys developer on four GlowCore
water heaters, the four boilers provide all the radiant heat and domestic hot water needs
for everyone.
"Basically," says Paul Boulanger, "this was a new,
luxury development where the key issues were comfort and aesthetics. The GlowCore
system eliminated the need to run unsightly gas pipes up the walls and into each
unit. And as for comfort," he continues, "they've never run short of hot
water; even with all the hot tubs."
